Labels: | Comments

Another day has passed and i am still feeding my frenzy with Hijab googling images -_-"

Even her "About Me" just cracks me up :p >>

This is her..

and this is her hilarious and interesting Hijab tutorial :)

I think she had only wear Hijab recently (kantoi tak khatam lagi blog dia.. haha) but my fav entry so far would be the one where she tells you the changes and expectation once one wore the Hijab.. Seronot!

Don’t get caught up in what looks good on other people, just to fit in. You have
to find something you’re comfortable with, a look that expresses your
personality

This is one of the tops that she has in her online store Maysaa. Lov em to bits! And oh, she also has her own blog which is about style with your hijabi on :) - Stylecovered

Do's and Don't in Jeans

Labels: | Comments

I am a classic Jeans and Tee kind of Girl. Yes, you can really count the number of decent top and pants that i have. Jeans in the mean time, i have loads :)

There are lots of cuts and brands to chose from.. Straight, Bootcut, Boyfriends, Cutoff and etc etc etc.. Here are some of the basic rules in buying a perfect pair of jeans.

1. DO invest in a pair of DARK denims
They're always slimming, versatile and will never be out of style. They can either be paired with a blazer and pumps for that formal look, or simply a pair of stilettos for the perfect girls night out.

2. DON'T be a 'muffin'
As delicious as a muffin can be, you must at all cost AVOID getting a muffin top! a muffin top is when you are spilling out of your jeans! so, always consult with someone that you trust before grabbing the wrong size of jeans, k?

3. DO try washed denims
Occasionally, washed (used looking) denims can very sexy if you can find the perfect one for you. Hey, you don't wanna wear black everyday, right?

4. DON'T show your Undies!
NEVER ever ever EVER show your G-String at ANY time!

5. DO try jeggings.
Jegging or Jeans Leggings is a solution for us mere mortals who would love to wear a skinny jeans but never found the perfect one! Hell yeah!

6. DO keep it simple
As tempting as it is to wear a ripped denim ala Nicole Richie, bear in mind that less is more! An i-survived-a-bike-crash jeans is seriously one fashion crime!

7. DO chose the right length
A jeans that is too short or too long isn't a pretty sight. Besides, stained leg pants is really unhygienic!

8. DO pick the right cut for your body type.
  • Boot-cut jeans with a slight flare below the knees flatters most women.
  • Straight legs are more flattering (than boot cut) for the petite gal (shorter than 5'4").
  • Skinny jeans look best when teamed with a long top or tunic.

  • Stay away from super low-waist jeans if you have a long torso or short legs
  • Throw away the "Mom jeans"!!! they makes the hips, stomach and butt look larger than life!!!!

Labels: , | Comments

As much as we love to say that "Beauty Lies in the eyes of the Beholder", we have to admit that first impressions does count! In this case, its our Make Up!..

There's a lot of different style and trends. But these are the few and most popular make up trends that we have. Lets check em out!

1. Red Lips
Women who paints their lips red are sexy, sensual and uber-confident ladies. They are more likely to have a better job prospects, as they are very confident and in control of their descision. As in their choice of this bright palette!
How to rock them: Red lips are best worn with natural or nude eyes and cheek. Extra coat of mascara adds the sexiness in the look.

2. Pink Lips
A slick of soft pink lips indicates happiness and a fantastic love life.
How to rock them: Remember to choose a pink lip gloss that’s not too far away from your natural lip color—and intensify your eyes.

3. Bright Eyeshadow
A bright peepers usually shouts a flamboyant and carefree personality.
How to rock them: Balance the more intense hues on your eyes with soft pink blush and lipstick.

4. Smokey Eyes
A gal with smokey eyes just exude a sense of mystery and tons of sexiness within her.
How to rock them: Loads of eyeliner and mascara, people!

5. Barely There aka Fresh and Dewy
A women who is a makeup minimalist is usually a self-confident and very comfortable in her own skin. She is very religious when it comes to skincare -- her glowing complexion speaks for itself!
How to rock them: Prep your skin by exfoliating with a gentle scrub and then apply your moisturizer. Skip the foundation -- instead use a concealer only to cover your blemishes.

Glasses for Wedding

Labels: , | Comments

I've been wearing glasses since I was 6.. yes, you read it right, SIX years old So for me, wearing my glasses is like breathing. Its the first thing i grab after waking up. then, its my phone :)

So, when we finally set our wedding date, my first thought was "Glasses or Lens?" You see, during my engagement, i was practically blind because i didn't put on my lenses before my make up.. so i only realized who i "salam" with up close! hehe

As i said earlier, after setting the date, i went to an optometrist for an opinion. Because i had astigmatism, i would have to order special lenses.. huhu... Anyway, i chose to wear lenses on my day, and i didn't regret my choices :)

But, for bride to be's who is still weighing whether to wear their glasses or lenses, here are some advices for you :)

  1. If you think you can tolerate wearing the lenses for your ceremony and picture taking, wear them. But, if you aren't comfortable after a few hours, switch to your glasses immediately. A glasses-wearing bride is certainly better than a red, itchy teary eyed bride, right?
  2. Always opt for a mult-icoated lenses. This way, the flashes won't create glare on your glasses.
  3. Try to find a frame that compliments your bridal wear. Not all bride can pull the indie - wayfarer-like frame. One without a frame or something that is thin and discreet might a better option :)
  4. Be confident! If you think you are gorgeous, everybody else will think of the same!

p/s: what ever it is, he is still marrying you! glasses or not :)
